Many of our hotel, food & drink clients will know that Jenics director, Jeremy Collins, is a glutton for punishment.
Whilst most property professionals spend their weekends recovering from the excesses of the sector’s punishing social schedule, Jeremy will often be found running or cycling silly distances.
His latest challenge, however, is one so extreme that, as a company, we decided to sponsor the whole event in support.
On June 23, Jeremy is undertaking the gruelling Pen Llyn Ultra Marathon, a 75-mile race around North Wales’ Llyn peninsula in the foothills of Snowdon with a 9,000ft+ climb thrown in for good measure.
Those with the stamina to complete this test of endurance need to do so within a 24-hour cut off time.
Jeremy is throwing down the gauntlet to anyone else crazy enough to join him, especially masochists from the property and leisure sector – he has already persuaded some of the North West’s top running lawyers, developers and operators to join him.
You can run simply for personal achievement or choose to support the race’s charity partner, GISDA, offering support and opportunities for young people.
But for those who think endurance events such as Dry January or the Manchester 10k is problematic, Jeremy has some solid advice.
There is an alternative 50 mile option for you.
If you are interested in joining Jeremy and taking part in the Jenics sponsored Pen Llyn Ultra Marathon, visit penllynultra.co.uk for more information and then call Jeremy on 0161 832 2201 to be persuaded.
