Birmingham is to get its first Gino D’Acampo ‘My Restaurant’ after Jenics managed to secure a prestigious site on Temple Row in the city.
Work is due to start this summer on the fit-out of the 8,000 sq. ft. space to create a 200-seater restaurant over two floors.
The area is a growing leisure and foodie destination for the city with The Ivy now taking the premises next door.
Jeremy Collins said: “It was an off-market deal that has taken 12 months to bring together but patience pays off and we were delighted to secure such a great spot. Temple Row is a fabulous location and No. 63 is an elegant building which completely fits the Gino brand.”
It will offer all day casual dining from breakfast, brunch and lunch to dinner and late supper with a Prosecco Bar, Deli & Ice Cream Bar, open kitchen and a leisure space including private bar, private dining, games room and posh bowling.
Licensing was recently approved for the building which is currently occupied by Allied Irish Bank.
Gino’s is part of Individual Restaurants which also owns Restaurant Bar & Grill and Piccolino brands.
The Birmingham opening will be followed by a new central London restaurant and a minimum of 3 further openings this year.
