The exciting project of returning the grand North Western Hall in Liverpool back to an hotel has reached an important milestone.
The Marcus Worthington Group has applied for planning permission to convert the Grade II Listed Building into a 202 bedroom hotel with bar, restaurant, gym and meeting rooms.
Subject to planning approval, Jenics has secured an international operator to take over the building last used as an hotel in 1933.
The site has subsequently seen use as office space and student accommodation.
Jeremy Collins, Director, Jenics, said “It is fabulous to see such an iconic building being returned to its original purpose. The North Western Hall was one of a series of grand railway hotels and its restoration to hotel use once again will be a tremendous boost to Liverpool’s leisure and cultural offering. Securing a high quality hotel and lifestyle brand was key for us in helping to revitalise not only the building but this part of the City.”
