The newest addition to Manchester’s booming hotel sector has arrived with the launch of Roomzzz ApartHotel in the city’s Corn Exchange.
Jenics acted as agent for Aviva Investors and Queensberry to secure the eighth ApartHotel in the Roomzzz portfolio and its second in Manchester – the operator also has a site on Princess Street in the city centre.
Roomzzz at the Corn Exchange will feature 114 apartments in a variety of shapes and sizes dictated by the Grade II listed building.
The hotel’s walls are adorned by the work of artist Katie Edwards, who created bespoke pieces inspired by Manchester’s heritage of music, industry and culture.
Jeremy Collins of Jenics who advised on the deal, said: “As with any leisure operation, customer experience is becoming ever more important and the quirkiness of this transformation is a reflection of excellent partnership between Aviva and Roomzzz delivering an exceptional product.
“Both Jenics and Aviva believe Roomzzz is the perfect fit for this site, reflected by the fact they were chosen from nearly 20 bids submitted, and the combination of their vision and the aesthetics of the building make a compelling combination and a truly unique customer offer.
“Manchester, like many northern cities, has some amazing architecture that can create a point of difference in the competitive hotel sector.
“I expect Roomzzz to take advantage of this superb central location and look forward to seeing many years of good trading.”
